My Health Journey – Part 1

I turned to Tom and said: “My belly. It hurts so bad.  Just look at me I look like I’m 6 months pregnant, but clearly, I’m not.”

This was me not so long ago, feeling utterly miserable with what I call a belly hangover.

The digestion issues were getting worse.  I thought I was eating ok.  I knew it could be better, but it wasn’t like I was eating junk.  Yet with indigestion, bloating and tummy aches I just couldn’t deal with anymore.

Enough was enough, something had to be done.

Yes, I could have done another Whole 30 or Whole Life Challenge, but I wanted something that would give me definitive answers.  Something that would motivate me long-term rather than a short-term fix.

It was then I decided to get some allergy testing done. I made the (what some would consider controversial) decision to get hair testing done.  Having done this method of allergy testing over a decade ago, it was something I was already familiar with, and less evasive.

Hair testing is an alternative to blood tests.  It’s normal to feel a little sceptical about hair testing. Hair however when tested can give you so much historical history about you.

The hair on your head could be anywhere between 2-6 years old before it falls out.  When the hair does come out, it’s essential a timeline, so when tested it can reveal a lot of information.

This is one of the reasons why I wanted to get it done, the other reason was I just didn’t want to go to the doctor and deal with the bazillion questions about wanting blood tests done, or getting referred to an allergist/immunologist.

Doing testing this way, meant the control was in my hands. What I decided with the results, would come down to me.

The process with Allergy Test Australia was simple, easy and quick. I had the results in my inbox within 10 days.

Why this method?  Well, it’s clear I need I reset.  What better way to rest my metabolism, level out my hormones and build a healthy gut.

This program is unique, as it’s tailored to me.

I still have a long way to go.  Once I have completed my first cycle of 131, I will be back with Part 2.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I’ve made many discoveries, and look forward to sharing them with you soon.
