I was talking to one of my running friend the other day, as she has a goal to run a marathon in every state (Australia) by the time she turns 40.
Well, she just turned 40, and her last event is the Alice Springs Running Festival, which she will be running later this year.
So it got me thinking about all the events I want to do.
I wrote my first running bucket list back in July 2014.
Many things have happened since writing that list. Some events I have no interest anymore, while there have been a few which I can officially cross off this list.
Running Bucket List
Without further ado, here is my updated list.
- Big Red Run (NT)
- Glow Worm Trail (NSW)
- Warburton Trail Fest (VIC)
- Tassie Trail Fest (TAS)
- Yurrebilla Trail (SA)
- Mt Misery Trail Run (SA)
- UTA (NSW)
- SCC100 (VIC)
- Stromlo Trail Fest (ACT)
- Run the Rock (VIC)
- Mt Misery (SA)
If you haven’t already noticed, there is not one single road event. While road events have their place, my heart is on the trails.
Trail runs, usually mean remoter locations. Which means that we can take the whole family to an area we have never been to.
Nothing like combining a running event with a holiday. Runcations for the win.
