Mindful Monday – Focus on things that matter

We all have things that matter in our lives. This could be anything from your family, to your kids, your job, or even your pet.

When it matters to you it’s important to you.

Therefore it’s important to make time for the things that matter to you.

When I got injured, I couldn’t exercise.  I didn’t realise how much exercise was tied to my mood and creativity.

There were a lot of things that I couldn’t do.  But instead of focusing on the can’t, I decided to focus on the things that I could do.

Once I decided to focus on the things that matter, my outlook changed.  It made me appreciate all the little things that I was capable of.

Remember to ask yourself the following;

  • What’s my purpose?
  • Does it excite me?
  • Is this really important to me?
  • What are the consequences?
  • Can I make time for it?

The questions can help you focus on the things that matter in your life, give you clarity and determination to achieve your goals.

So go life your life, and live it with meaning.
