The Ultimate Coffee Date #14

August is over, so lets sit down and check in with the Ultimate Coffee Date!

If we were sitting down for coffee, I would tell you that I’m so glad that winter is over.  It has been a very cold winter here.  Sure we don’t get snow, but we do get Southerly Antarctic winds.

Brr, just thinking about it chills me to the bone.

If we were sitting down for coffee, I would tell you that I ran a total of 135km.
Matilda Iglesias - aug km

That brings my year running total to 1044 (or 1092 if we include the bushwalking/hiking).

1000km already!  Back in 2013, 1000km in a year seemed like a challenging dream. Yet in 2015 it only took me 8 months.

When you set your mind to it, anything is possible. At this rate I’ll be smashing out 1500km! Booyeah!

If we were sitting down for coffee, I would tell you that I reached my 2nd milestone town for Run Down Under.  I made it to Brisbane QLD, That’s 1,244 for the Canberra start line.

While I was disappointed with my 2nd milestone memento (I’ve emailed them about it), 1,244 km since December 2014 is definitely an achievement.

If we were sitting down for coffee, I would tell you that there were two stand out events for the month of August.  The Mosaic to Mountain 21km Trail Run, and also the Wonderland Run.

If we were sitting down for coffee,
I would tell you that September brings Spartan Sprint.

This was the event that was my first DNS back in May 2014.

In fact as you are reading this I will be out on course smashing it out.

The 2015 Spartan Trifecta is going to be mine (even if I’m doing it in reverse).

If we were sitting down for coffee, what would you tell me?
